Lab Testing Facilities :
Techint Technologies maintains two lab testing facilities, located in Genoa, Italy and Pittsburgh, PA in the U.S. These facilities are used to maintain our position as a leading supplier to the metals, coal, glass, petroleum, and carbon products industries. The facilities house a variety of furnaces for heat treating, reheating, calcining, and melting. The goal of the facility is twofold: to test new processes, concepts and designs for the development of new Techint Technologies equipment, and to provide an environment for our customers to test new materials and processes. The facilities are typically used for bench and pilot scale testing relating to combustion, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and process work.
Process control and automation :
Automation and process control are essential to staying competitive in today?s manufacturing environment. Techint Technologies? automation group develops customized process control and automation systems for a wide variety of steelmaking processes, providing a complete range of control solutions suited to your needs.
A wide variety of hardware configurations and controllers are supported, and all systems are designed to the customer?s specifications, or specifications resulting from our process analysis. Techint Technologies systems provide intuitive and effective interfaces, allowing for easy monitoring and control of scheduling/pacing, tracking, reporting, and other vital functions. Our online and offline 2D and 3D thermal model provide superior accuracy, allowing for optimum furnace efficiency and production.
