Global Power Equipment Group Files Reorganization Documents

Global Power Equipment Group Inc. (Pink Sheets: GEGQQ) ("Global Power" or the "Company") today announced that on September 10, 2007 it filed its Plan of Reorganization (the "Plan") and Disclosure Statement with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware. A hearing to approve the Disclosure Statement is set for October 9, 2007.
The Plan contains all the elements of the agreement reached with key constituents of the Chapter 11 case as described in the Company's press release of August 28, 2007, including a rights offering available to all existing equity holders, a proposed settlement of the claim of subordinated Noteholders, a proposed settlement of the claims of the Company's Deltak subsidiary, and payment in full of the allowed claims of creditors against the Company and its Williams and Braden subsidiaries.
