NADCA Opens Entries For Die Casting Competition

The North American Die Casting Association (NADCA) is calling for entries for the 2008 International Die Casting Competition. The competition includes categories for castings made with aluminum, magnesium or zinc.
Created to promote cutting-edge die cast design, the annual competition recognizes outstanding castings in nine categories based on their design, quality, cost savings, ingenuity, innovation and industry-changing potential.
"The competition is a showcase for innovation in our industry. Recent winners have displayed significant breakthroughs in new applications for larger components used in automobiles, as well as the versatility of die casting for small parts used in computers and other electronic applications," said Daniel L. Twarog, NADCA president.
The winners will be announced during CastExpo, May 17-20, 2008, in Atlanta, GA. Winning entries are displayed during CastExpo and featured in national industry media, including Die Casting Engineer.
Companies interested in entering the competition may download the entry form at http://www.diecasting.org/castings/competition. All entries must be postmarked by Friday, February 22, 2008.
