The Tooling & Manufacturing Association (TMA), based in suburban Chicago, has unveiled its new online tool to help match individuals seeking careers in manufacturing with Chicago-area companies, http://www.TMACareerNet.com, powered by JobTarget.

According to TMA President Bruce Braker, the Association of more than 1,200 companies with nearly 60,000 workers implemented the job board on their website to help new job seekers and workers looking for new employment opportunities in precision manufacturing-related industries.

"TMACareerNet.com allows individuals interested in a career in manufacturing a place to post their resumes for free and peruse dozens of career opportunities in the precision manufacturing capital of the United States -- Chicago," Braker said.

TMA members include tool and die and plastic mold makers, metal machining and stamping shops; metal forging and die casting companies, as well as other precision manufacturers and their suppliers.

TMACareerNet.com offers a number of advanced features. These include a Job Alert system that notifies job seekers by email of new job opportunities that match their search criteria and an anonymous resume feature that enables job seekers to list their experience and qualifications in a protected environment. By giving both active and passive job seekers the ability to anonymously post their resumes, the JobTarget service allows job seekers to stay connected to the employment market while maintaining full control of their confidential information.
