Solid experience in the design of vacuum chambers for sputtering, PVD or other high vacuum coating application. Hands on knowledge of vacuum components including sputtering guns, vacuum pumps, feed-throughts, vacuum gauges and hardware.
Looking for hands on equipment and system designer with both real life hardware as well as theoretical knowledge. Ability to perform mechanical engineering analysis and do mechanical design of vacuum system (conductance, pumping speed, etc.) ability to blend theory and practice to application and real world equipment solutions.
Work jointly with other Miasole engineers and outside contractors to build and implement complex vacuum systems and to meet process performance requirements.
Document and formalize the systems designed and to coordinate component and system build and test. This position will be the led on the Vacuum portion of the system performance. Ability to resolve vacuum issues and strong problem resolution skills required.
Ability to troublshoot complex vacuum systems and supprt the maintenance team in a training, coaching and advisory role.
Experience in general aspects of equipment design and automation desirable.
Strong familiarity with Solid Works or other CAD tools.
Stron work ethic and ability to work with team.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must interface successfully with engineers and scientist of other disciplines.
