Menominee Man's Death Blamed On Mechanical Failure
18th April, 2006
An autopsy has revealed that a Menominee man whose helicopter crashed in Wisconsin had no medical condition or illness that played a part in the accident.
According to the Brown County Coroner, James Vincent, Jr. died of trauma sustained in last Thursday's crash. The 46-year-old was the only person on the helicopter when it crashed.
Investigators suspected that the cause of the crash was mechanical failure since Vincent was able to issue a mayday over the radio beforehand. He also apparently steered the helicopter to a vacant field away from populated areas before the crash.
