AMEC PLC said it has acquired the Quercus Group's specialised maintenance and mechanical services division, comprising five companies, for an undisclosed amount.

C Tram SA, Permi SA, Eurosept SAS, Gami Services SAS and Andre SAS together employ 180 people, generated revenue of 11.7 mln eur in 2005 and had net asset value of 2.48 mln eur at Dec 31 2005.

AMEC said this acquisition expands AMEC SPIE's regional network around Lyon and the Alps.
