4th February, 2006
DUBAI — The Dubai Court of Cassation has confirmed the verdicts of lower courts ordering G.C. Macline International to pay Trinity Engineering Services Dh714,362 and 5 per cent annual interest rate for the carrying out electrical, mechanical and plumbing works at its new factory and offices in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in compliance with a contract signed in June 2001.
Under the contract, GCM had assigned the works to Trinity for a total amount of Dh2,200,000. It also assigned it to carry out additional works estimated to cost Dh1,319,377.
In its claim, G C M International argued that the works executed by T Engineering services had not been carried out as per the conditions stipulated in the contract and delayed payments.
