DEPUTY GENERAL manager of Siemens Information System Limited (New Delhi), Debashish Bhattacharya, has suggested the budding technocrats to always gather information beyond their field of expertise to achieve greater success.

Bhattacharya, who is also a 1982 batch alumni of IT-BHU, said that expertise in a particular field can help one excel in a particular area but if one wanted to manage the entire organisation or accelerate the pace of growth of the concerned enterprise then one will have to think beyond one’s expertise.
He said that latest information technology equipment and software such as SAP has changed the conventional line of action and now one could manage the entire enterprise with the help of these modern tools more efficiently.
He said that SAP was being used in almost all the organisations be it engineering enterprise, construction companies, newspaper, power sector, manufacturing enterprise, service sector, financial companies, pharmaceutical companies oil or beverage companies.
He said that software and modern tools of information technology have brought enormous change in work culture and today the only crucial thing required to grow is decision making. He said that one should always think beyond one’s field expertise to reap better results.
