350 airmen pass out of IAF station

Around 350 airmen were inducted into the Indian Air Force at a glittering passing-out parade at the Air Force base at Tambaram, near here Thursday.
The airmen belonged to two institutes at Tambaram, namely Mechanical Training Institute and Workshop Training Institute. Eleven trainees from outside the country also passed out of the institutes.
The parade was reviewed by Air Commodore MS Ahluwalia, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station, Tambaram. He presented trophies to the meritorious airmen.
Addressing the newly-inducted airmen, M S Ahluwalia said, 'You have a bright future ahead of you and you should constantly strive to reach greater heights as the operational efficiency of the force is dependant on maintenance and administrative support'
He also exhorted airmen to update their knowledge and be a role model for others aspiring for the post.
