Mechanical problems cut Fast Ferry trip short
19th October, 2005
ROCHESTER, N.Y. A promotional tour on Rochester's Fast Ferry was cut short yesterday after a mechanical problem.
R-News reports a fuel line broke about 45 minutes after the ship left for Toronto at about 8 a-m.
The trip was supposed take the groups to Toronto, go through customs then come back to Rochester.
But officials say the fuel line break forced the captain to turn the ship around and head back to the Port of Rochester.
Repairs are expected to be complete in time for today's schedule.
