Director of China's Energy Programs to Deliver Keynote Address at SAE International Vehicle Battery Summit

Ouyang Minggao, Ph.D., director of China's Energy Saving & New Energy Vehicle Key Projects, will provide the keynote address at the SAE International Vehicle Battery Summit, scheduled 1-3 September 2010, in Shanghai, China.
Dr. Ouyang has primary responsibility for oversight of China's National 863 programs related to electric, fuel cell and hybrid vehicle propulsion including responsibility for battery, electric motor and related electronic control systems development.
He has published more 100 academic papers related to alternative energy vehicles and possesses 15 national patents. He led development of China's first fuel cell-powered city buses and was responsible for planning China's first hydrogen fueling demonstration station.
Co-sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China), the SAE International Vehicle Battery Summit is designed to provide corporate-level engineering and business decision makers with an assessment of current and near term Li-ion battery systems alternatives and capabilities; as well as critical marketplace and supply chain information. The event is being chaired and organized by Menahem Anderman, Ph.D., President of Advanced Automotive Batteries, USA and founder of Total Battery Consulting, Inc. Dr. Anderman is a well-known inventor, speaker, and author, and is a recognized authority in technology assessment and battery technology legal cases.
The Summit will provide an exclusive opportunity to interact with corporate technology peers from the automotive OEM, the battery components and manufacturing industry, and the lithium mining industry. The event will include opportunities for corporate sponsorships and exhibits as well as technology related poster sessions.
