North American Manufacturing Controls Integrator Grows North Carolina Engineering Facility
30th January, 2008
Just two years after setting up in the south, manufacturing process automation integrator The RoviSys Company is preparing for additional growth by adding staff and space at its engineering facility in Apex, North Carolina.
The company will expand in February into 2,000 square feet of additional space adjacent to its 6,750 square-foot regional office and systems staging facility. RoviSys will also boost Apex-based engineering and development staff in 2008 by at least one-third to more than 40 professionals, according to Craig LeChene, location manager.
"Manufacturers of all sizes want to know their automations solutions provider can get their work done," LeChene said. "We're making sure we can successfully deliver not only on our existing contracts but also that we are prepared for additional opportunities we earn."
RoviSys is one of the largest independent process automation and information solutions providers in North America. The company provides process control and plant information solutions to manufacturers in life sciences, chemicals, pipelines, glass, food and beverage and more. Based in Northeast Ohio, the company expects to grow from more than 175 employees to 200 by 2009.
The Apex office opened in December 2005. Staff in North Carolina primarily serves clients in the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and other southern states. LeChene said growth in the south is driven in part by the company's ability to successfully complete highly regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology control system and control validation projects.
Founded in 1989, RoviSys (http://www.rovisys.com) has completed more than 3,000 projects for batch and continuous process manufacturing clients throughout North America, South America and Asia. He said the company does not release client names. He added that RoviSys is ramping up efforts in the south to serve manufacturers in industries where it has a record of success in addition to life sciences.
"We've grown by working consistently to understand customers so we produce meaningful results for them," he said. "We work with many different automation technologies, but our culture is to implement the solution best for clients regardless of who makes the technology."
